Inter-symbiosis

In Inter-Symbiosis, Hung transmutes post-consumer waste, specifically discarded plastic bags, into ethereal, biomorphic forms that meditate on the interconnectedness of self, community, and the environment. By manipulating these synthetic skins, the sculpture challenges the perceived dichotomy between the artificial and the organic. From a precise vantage point, the work’s seemingly chaotic, fluid structure collapses into the recognizable form of the yin-yang symbol, reinforcing the Taoist principle that interdependent aspects constitute a greater, balanced whole. Through this interplay, the work suggests harmony is not found in individual perfection but emerges through the act of relational connection.
