Julia Hung defines our era as one of artificial reality, where distinctions between the real and the fake blur, and the fabricated takes on a life of its own. In Vrai de Vrai / Real of Real, she examines origin, authenticity, and the constructed nature of reality through fourteen artificial raw eggs, each linked to a narrative encoded in the color of its yolk. Scattered throughout the space, the eggs unsettle assumptions of truth, inviting viewers to reconsider how narratives appear authentic or constructed—and what it means for something to be real.
