Biomimicry

In the Taiwanese documentary My Dear Art, someone half-jokingly said, “Art that can’t be sold is garbage.” The words lingered—piercing and absurd. Out of quiet defiance, Julia turned toward what society deems worthless.

She gathered used plastic bags—transparent skins of consumption—and fused them with heat and pressure into organic forms that seem to breathe.

Nature does not rank or divide; everything returns and transforms. Biomimicry borrows this quiet wisdom—in form and in spirit—questioning today’s value system and who defines worth.
