Losing Colors

Consumerism has caused environmental crises that have resulted in coral bleaching and corals dying, which adversely affects the marine ecosystem. Recycled aluminum cans are woven into organic forms that mimic the ecosystem. White occupies most of the piece while other colors gradually fade, much like the process we see happening in coral bleaching.

How has mankind become affected from consumerism? Are we losing our unique colors as well?
